Schnika - Week 5

Well I had lost a couple of pounds during last week, but all of that went down the drain over the weekend!!  LOL  My normal weigh-in is on Monday, but I didn't weigh at my normal time yesterday so I'm using this morning's weight, which is the same as last Monday.  The good news is that we had our health screening at work today, and my blood pressure is going down.  It's still in the borderline range, but near the bottom, much closer to normal. Hopefully I'll be back on track by next week...

Schnika - Week 4

Well, no loss to report this week, but it's no surprise.  I had a lot going on and I didn't work out at all.  My eating wasn't the best and I used all of my flex points, but I guess I managed to stay within guidelines and did something semi right.  This coming week will be better though!

Schnika - Week 3

Thanks everybody for the tips!  I think I did good on fruits and vegetables this past week.  I used the veggie bags, mostly brocolli, and I usually eat them plain with a little salt and pepper.  I do think I should try the oil too because I'm sure I can use the oils.  My skin has been so dry in the last year!  I also need more water!
I also realized my goal was a little off.  I was trying to get into the healthy BMI range (right at the upper limit at 24.9...lol), but I was 1lb shy.  I added the pound to my weight to reflect this...
Other than BMI, I am also hoping to lower my blood pressure.  When I went for my annual pap smear in June, the nurse asked if my pressure was usually high, and I told her it wasn't.  She said it was reading really high with the automatic machine, so she took it manually, and it was still high, but not as high as with the machine, so she told me to keep an eye on it.  And on after my accident, which was the next time my pressure was taken, I also had a high reading, which is unusual for me.  And I think it was high on at the beginning of the year too when I went to the doctor for something.  This is really a concern for me, being that both my parents and probably all of my grandparents have been on blood pressure medication at some point or another.  We are having a health screening here at work on Oct 21, so hopefully I'll see a difference in my pressure by then.  I'll keep you posted!!
